Home Sweet Home.......Wherever That Is.

Back home from home. It sounds strange, but it's true. I have 2 countries I call home. And I have a foot in each of them and I am double confused about where I belong.
Some might say you belong where your family is, but I have family in both places.
Copenhagen was awesome. I know that if I had the chance to ever live in DK again, I would have to live in Copenhagen. I also know that I would then have to live in a super small apartment, get a job and definitely not have 2 cars. I would have to get rid of most things I own because there either wouldn't be room for them or because American furniture is way bigger than Danish furniture. But.....I would be close to family, be able to ride a bike everywhere and have a lot of vacation time.
But I made a choice many many years ago and I live in the U.S where I have all the things I couldn't have in DK, and even though I have friends here, my extended family is not here and my childhood friends are not here either. And if I had a job here I would have no vacation time.
One isn't necessarily better than the other, they're just so very extremely different and as I get older the grass seems greener on the other side of the ocean.

It is such a weird feeling to have "home" and "home", but also a wee bit magical, as it leaves room for jetting off to sunny Copenhagen.
I'm glad you had a good time. :)
