Why, why, why????

Last night I had dinner at Marlow's Tavern.
Right behind us sat a woman who looked to be around 60-65 years old. Her face was fresh out of surgery, not a wrinkle, not a laugh line, nothing to tell the story of her life. Her lips were freshly injected with collagen. She looked like one of those African tribes women who put plates in their lips, only they actually look much much better because of their heritage and traditions. This woman probably wanted to get a younger look. Instead she got the look of a 65-year-old woman trying to look younger. Not pretty.
Why is it that we can't be happy with the way we look? I am all for altering yourself if that is what you wish to do, but at least make it so you still look like yourself so you don't see a stranger in the mirror every morning. Or in this case, look like every other 65-year-old woman who had a facelift.

LOL - it is SO unattractive, and yet people carry on stretching the skin thinking it's going to make them look beautiful!
