Since moving into the new flat we have been trying to get our TV, internet and phone hooked up. We have decided to go with Virgin Media, they're cheaper than SKY and they offer ESPN America which is important to Joel.
After moving in we received a few letters from Virgin Media (VM) addressed to Jack Peach to confirm that they were coming out to install the service. We called VM and told them that there wasn't a Jack Peach living here. They said it was impossible as they had been out to install some cables that previous weekend!
We have now been back and forth over the past 3 weeks. VM will not deactivate Jack Peach's service unless Jack Peach tells them to. Who is Jack Peach? We don't know, they don't know, and he is paying for service he is not getting.
We have now lived for 6 weeks without TV and internet. I know there are people out there who thinks life without TV is fantastic. Let me tell you something. They're lying. Life without TV SUCKS!! I miss my stupid mind numbing shows, I miss using the TV as barter for my kids, I miss laughing at a good sitcom.
Life without internet is virtually impossible. Every time you want to do something you are asked to download a form or sign up online or pay online.
Facebook is limited on the Blackberry I have access to every day before 8 am and after 6 pm, and it's a pain to read anything on that little screen. Plus I would like to share some pics of this beautiful place I live in. SKYPE is not happening right now.
And that is why I am at the gym. Not to work out, but to use their computers. So sad.
