The Killing Station

And off we went to see how the salmon is raised, calmed and well, killed.
It sounds babaric, but it was really fascinating. And I'm still eating salmon.
I won't go into details for the weak souls out there, but if we ever see each other I'll be happy to share over a pint.

Spent the night at Creggans Inn, what a beautiful spot with amazing food. I have to say the food in Scotland is amazing.

On our drive back from the killing station (it's not really a nice word, is it), we saw the bigest bull ever. Turns out it wasn't a bull, but a Highland Cow. Now that's a big animal.....with the cutest fringe ever. I wonder if Rufus is part Highland Cow.

Yesterday it was back to Edinburgh with a big decision in the bag. We are going to move into the flat we saw last week. This means the kids will go to a different school than first anticipated, but this one is nice too. The flat is located in the West End, approximately 3 minutes walk from Joels office. Lots to do in the area and right around the corner from, yes, you guessed it, the Castle.

Tonight we're off to watch the England/US game in a pub in Stockbridge, but first we're off to climb Holyrood.

Peace Out.

I am loving the tales of your Scottish adventure and just love that I know the majority of the places you describe. :) WELCOME TO THE UK! Oh, and send me your mobile number, then I'll text you so that you don't have an empty phone. :)

Thanks Tina,
Once I finally have a mobile phone I will surely do that. Nothing worse than an empty phone!!!
I am having such a good time here, I can feel how I have been deprived of anything cultural in the past 4 years and I am taking it all in:)
