I'm one of those people who don't recognise anyone famous. It's not that I'm not interested, I just don't recognise them. I even once asked someone if someone else was Woody Allen! I mean, come on, if you don't recognise Woody Allen......
Anyways, now and then famous people come into the shop and during the past three weeks the famous British actor Bill Paterson has been in and apparently his favourite sweet is Double Bubble bubblegum. It's always been my business partner who has served him. She was very excited by him coming into the shop. I had to google him........still nothing.
So yesterday he came in and I was alone in the shop. The only reason I knew who he was is because he told me. And you would think that I could have said something along the lines of "it's nice to meet you", "I'm a great fan of your work" etc. No, not me. The only thing that came out of my mouth was: "oh yeah, you're Mr Double Bubble". Really?
So, Mr Paterson, if by any slight chance you stumble across this, I am a great fan of your work. I think. Wait, let me google it first.
