Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is upon us and tomorrow we'll chow down on turkey and be thankful for whatever it is that we're thankful for.
This year I am thankful for a lot of things, and about an hour ago I realized that I will be thankful for store bought apple pie!
We tried, we really did. We measured, kneaded, rolled, cut and whatnot. We filled the pie crusts and made a beautiful lattice topping. I put the pie in the oven and then I forgot about it. The pie is burnt and not pretty. I put the second pie in and remembered it. Dug out a small piece of apple and tasted it. You would have thought I was having a seizure with all the facial expressions I managed to do in a matter of 5 seconds. As sour as a lemon.
So tomorrow I'm off to the store for some pie.
