The White Stuff

And down it came. The fluffy white stuff that most people use the F word in front of because it makes it hard for them to get to work. I use the F word too, but I use the word FANTASTIC. I love snow!! It is so pretty and peaceful and makes everything so bright.
I love the fact that I get to witness it when it is untouched, mainly because I am walking the dog at 7 a.m.
I keep taking pictures of it and I lead myself to believe that my photographs are so good, that no one ever took a picture like mine. And I do this while standing next to 20 people photographing the same snow laden branch I have chosen.
At night I can barely sleep, I get totally excited by the prospect of waking up to lots of snow. I wake up during the night just to peek outside. I don't want it to ever stop!
Yesterday i took the kids sledding, or sledging as they say here in Scooootland. So much fun. Kirsten and her friend Bryony managed to crash into a small girl who took quite a flip in the air, but was unharmed, whereas the two girls ended up with bruises. Kirsten has a beautiful black eye today. But I kept telling them, as long as it was fun when it happened it's all good. I myself took quite a few turns down the hill. So much fun, but boy I need to do some Kegels. Either that or wear an adult diaper next time.
The plan was to go to the castle today for some more award winning photography, but Lucas has a fever and a stomachache, so we're enjoying the fluffy white stuff from inside.
The kids have been off school for the past 2 days, we're not sure why, but maybe the pipes froze or the janitor couldn't make it in to clear the school yard. Hopefully school will be back on tomorrow so I can get some stuff done.
The kids are excited to open their advent calendars tomorrow and we will also be doing a little singing at night to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. Time to dig out the holiday songs. Yeah.
