Dawson Leary, I'm breaking up with you.

Remember the TV show Dawson's Creek?
The one with film loving Dawson who doesn't realise he is madly in love with Joey Potter?
Remember the feelings you had when the show was on?
How you could so easily relate to the teen angst overflowing from the TV set? How you remember that first kiss and the way it made you feel? Not to mention the first break up?
Most of all, remember how Joey always climbed the ladder to get into Dawson's room and how you yourself wished you lived in a house just like that with that exact ladder?
Remember how you and your friends were Dawson, Joey, Jen and Percy?
Take a moment and remember those good times..................

Now, do you remember how Dawson's parents are arguing, cheating, trying to make up?
Or how fast that ladder came down when they find out Dawson and Joey are now more than friends?
Their economic trouble?
Their worries about not having a job?

Yeah, I didn't quite get that the first time around either.
And do you realise how depressing and scary it is when you realise that you no longer can relate to the teens in this TV show?
And how even more depressing and scary it is when you realise that you have, essentially, become Dawson Leary's parents?

I have no other words...............
